Small tools, built to get out of the way.
NYPDDS is a growing family of fast, private tools for the everyday parts of public-information work: count a post, work out an age, move text between devices. Each one opens instantly and does one job well.
The small jobs add up.
A lot of public-information work is small, repeated tasks: checking a character count before a post goes out, working an age into a statement, getting a block of text from a phone to a desktop. Done by hand, each one is a minute of friction and a chance to get it wrong. These tools take that friction out, quietly, on your own device.
Fast where it counts
Every tool is usable the moment it loads. No sign-in, no splash, no waiting on a spinner. The thing you came to do is the first thing on the screen.
Yours to keep private
What you type stays on your device. The work happens in your browser, so there is nothing to leak, no account to manage, and no one watching over your shoulder.
Built to be kept
Each tool installs to your home screen and works offline, so it is there the next time you need it, the same as any app, without the store.
Every tool, one home.
Five tools are live. Four of them share the same feel; Tweets Report is the exception, and three more are on the way. Open any of them and they all remember the theme and accent you pick here.
Count a post exactly the way X does, with a live preview and one-tap copy. Links, mentions and emoji all weighted correctly.
OpenType a date of birth in whatever format you have it. The age lands instantly and copies itself, ready for a statement.
OpenSet a purchase price or a monthly housing number. Down payment, the 20% PMI line, tax, insurance, and HOA all move with it.
OpenMove text and files between your own devices, end-to-end encrypted and offline-ready. No account, and no upload to anyone else.
OpenCompile a set of posts into a tidy report, with usernames rendered as working links and consistent formatting throughout.
OpenA calmer way into broadcast media monitoring, so you can track the news cycles that matter without wrestling the interface.
In progressTurn a day of coverage into a formatted recap, with the index built for you and the layout kept consistent.
In progressSee who is on which day at a glance, and print a calendar that actually looks like one.
In progressOne family, one material.
The tools look and move alike on purpose: a shared glass over a quiet ground, one accent you choose, and the same small details everywhere. There is even a hidden one.
Instant
The core action is on screen and working before anything else finishes loading.
Private
The work stays on your device, and only your theme and accent are ever remembered.
Consistent
Pick an accent once and it follows you into every tool, light theme or dark.
A little alive
Turn on the weather and watch a season, or the time of day, drift behind the glass.
Made in New York, one fix at a time.
NYPDDS is built by DS, a maker in New York City who kept hitting the same small snags at work and decided to build the tools that would remove them. Each one starts as a real problem and ships when it genuinely helps, then gets quietly better from there.
